what happen if u eat dog meat on dog year?

Sunday, January 29th, 2006

About the questions above,I don’t really have an answer, its just something I thought for this year. Why would I think of such crazy thing? I don’t know, maybe got too bored, then started to daydream… Anyway, some might say that you will get loads of bad luck if you really do eat dog meat, ..so,don’t even think of it!! Some people take this chance to get a new dog pet to bring good luck…but don’t bet on a happy ending, after few months if the owner did not win lottery or sudden rise in luck, the dog is going to end up in a pot supplying more dog meat!! But it doesn’t concern me too much,I don’t eat or take dogs as pet,to me dog is just another cute creature, nice to see but dangerous to hold…

Anyway, someone will always ask, whats your new year wish this year?(as if you wish something it will come true)  wishing for a new girlfriend, good result, lots of money, good health, world peace…blah blah blah, and you end up bankrupt, dumped by girl, fail all your test and stay in hospital, with Osama bombing US,so better don’t wish for anything crazy…However,I do have one small wish, please read my blog and give some comments, that will give me lots more motivation to write on,if not…(sob, sob…)

Gong Xi Fa Cai and happy new year everyone!!

p.s: pls,no matter how don’t eat dog meat :P

Malaysia Most “Beautiful” (what the hell!!)

Friday, January 20th, 2006

Now I really know what disgusting means, that doesn’t surprise me anyway, what surprise me is that I get to know it from a highly unlikely source, the program Malaysian most beautiful, there is lots of words that I can actually use to describe one of the final two contestant,Jessy, disgusting is just one of those more "polite" word, and trust me,I do not boast anything on it,those who watched the reality show knew what I am talking about.

Have you met a girl before that keep on telling you how pretty she is, how sexy she is,and keep going on and on even people tell her how irritating and disgraceful she is? No I never did,but now i realize that kind of girl really exists!! Imagine one short, out of shape girl telling you that she is 99.9% better than Amber Chia, who was voted as sexiest woman in Malaysia and is world class supermodel, what will you think? And she told that shamelessly in front of the whole Malaysia!! Oh my god, and that’s just the beginning, creating dramatic events everywhere, conflict with others and endless criticism, keep talking and talking thrash not stop and still keep on insisting that she is humble all the time?? Things couldn’t be worse.

Maybe we can’t blame her on that attitude, maybe this is what we call the "syok sendiri" attitude among Malaysians…when you think things wouldn’t have gone worse, you are wrong. There is a photograph session and the chief photographer keep telling her "Don’t over pose, don’t over pose" ,but end up getting even more extremely ridiculous posing, which the photographer summed up in two words " cheap, trashy" Yeah he is right,if I am there I would have told her. "you are here to show your pretty side, not to interview to get a job for a prostitute, got it?"

Here comes the worse nightmare, she still made it to the final two, eliminating Faridah,a 43 year old lady who have kids and still appear better than her,at least in inner beauty, and she got the highest vote from Malaysians!! "Come on lah ( like what my Indian roommate always say) are you Malaysians blind?" The only one who left to stop her now is Dilla,a polite Malay girl who fully deserve to win,can she stop her?I sure hope so..The way she keep stressing that she is most beautiful inside and outside really started to make me feel like vomiting…go look at the mirror!!not just your looks but most importantly your character!! I can’t imagine what will happen if she win!! "come on lah" I heard that familiar phrase again,if she win, then I would assume that all Malaysians are ugly ducklings that run around like crazy and won’t stop making noise,am I too much too harsh??

(latest update: the winner is not Jessy, yeah,Malaysian rocks!!)

Clash Of Cultures

Friday, January 20th, 2006

I have just witnessed 2 of the best film of the year,or maybe for my whole life…and its unbelievable because its just the beginning of the year, its promising enough and I do expect lots of great movies to come this year. Coincidentally both of them are films of older ages, both are based on books, both give focus to female actress and most important of all, both are very touching that they can make romantic movie lovers watch them over and over again without feeling a slice of boredom. I seldom compare two films but Pride & prejudice and Memoirs of a Geisha really set a different mark in film industry this year.

Everyone that watch the movie will be impressed with the fascinating scenery in England ( I have two more years before I will end up studying there but it really makes me looking forward to going there) The trees, the lakes, the estate, the houses, the farm, everything that you see, even it seems usual and available all over the country is special to me,imprinting a deep impression in my heart. And so is the one in Japan, even i had been there, the culture, simple yet elegant kimonos, eye capturing dances ,is something that we don’t want to miss out in our life.

The actresses, however were the main attraction on both movies,Keira Knightly,in particular, looks absolutely stunning, with her fluent accent and ever improving acting skills, she is surely the next big thing in Hollywood. But credits have to be given to Zhang Ziyi,Gong Li, and our own Datuk Michelle Yeoh, the leading actresses in Memoirs, not only the manage to put up a creditable performance, the purity and determination of Sayuri, vicious and bitterness of Matsumomo, calmness and elegance of Mameha, all looks so real, and these make them actually looks like real Geisha!!

It was difficult to compare to different movies, even harder if they are great movies like those two,but I had to go Pride and Prejudice, for to main reasons, the well played Mr Darcy and unpredictable yet touching storyline…even though I don’t deny that those Geisha look great, anyone beg to differ?

What can a glass do to you?

Friday, January 13th, 2006

What can a glass do?Besides for drinking purposes and for some tension overwhelmed people to break it in order to release all the tension? Anyone has answer for that? Well I do,after watching the Philippines blockbuster "The Spirit of The Glass". It was a great day, nice movie until someone spoil it for me on my way back.I never see the KTM station that crowded before that we all have to squeeze real hard to fit ourselves in it whereas half of the crowd didn’t manage to make it in.However,i find something interesting there, while everyone are trying desperately to push their way in like its the last train to heaven,a sharp shriek from a woman freeze everyone down, and guess what, the only sentence she shouted is,"Oi,jangan tolak la,ada bayi tau!!" Just as I thought there is some sympathy in our society, the scramble did not stop there but got even worse, and the excuse that a guy gave is "tak boleh masuk la…" This is the way Malaysian live their life, living for their own, regardless of how others fare,we were lucky that woman didn’t lose herself and start a fight there. But stuffing the entrance before people manage to get out, putting their own "precious" few minutes ahead of other people’s life, that is definitely not the way that we should live.

All right back to the movie, get an Ouija board, and visit a haunted house, then you will know how you can use the glass.Sounds familiar?Yes it is some sort of plate fairy game, asking questions to the ghost and the glass will move along the board to give you some sort of answer. Reminder: Do not break the glass or remove it from the board or attempt to stop it before the ghost want it to stop…or else…What?you already did it?Oh I feel sorry for you then, because according to the movie, the ghost will never leave you until you help him (or her or whatever) to achieve what he wants.Soon you will start feeling things, seeing things, and have some bloody figure grabbing you from your bathroom..too bad.

Anyway this movie is a nicely done one,not too scary, but very romantic and touching, better than loads of Japanese horror who just depends on special effect to scare the audience without giving any meaning.Maybe that’s why I pick it ahead of "the wig". It is nominated for the Manila Film Festival,I guess it stand a good chance of winning, though its no match for the previous making of "Feng Shui" The not so good part of the movie is that its a bit flat, lack of climax and the ending is very predictable, two ghosts that die because of love live happily ever after and the spirit of the glass stop haunting them forever,so I would just give it a B(maybe B+ credit to the good looking actors and actresses) Oopss…I just dropped a glass and broke it,what will happen next??
